Welcome to Adventure Kayak & Cruise

Fiordland Adventure operates kayak and cruise tours on Doubtful Sound

View of Doubtful Sound from the top of the Wilmot Pass.

Fiordland is a popular destination for those that want to experience the sights and sounds of Nature at a close personal level – it is an area rich in a variety of landscapes from beautiful Lakes Manapouri and Te Anau with their mountainous surround to Doubtful and Milford Sounds with their many glacial features.

Beautiful native beech and podocarp forests blanket the surrounding mountains and valleys. Snow highlights the high mountain peaks throughout most of the year. Unique bird and wildlife only adds to the many natural attractions.

For a unique experience in Fiordland, forget about the crowds – be a little different and come join us on an intimate small group lake cruise and or walk combination option. There is time to relax, absorb the surroundings and share an intimate experience with Nature.

We are based in Manapouri where a range of accommodation is available – this includes camping grounds, backpackers, motels, self contained houses, a hotel and a range of B& B’s. There is a local convenience store with postal agency, a fuel and service station, hairdresser, local information offices and Cafés.

Manapouri is a unique place to stay, the perfect departure point for tours to Doubtful Sound – one of NZ’s icons and Lake Manapouri itself often described as New Zealand’s ‘most beautiful lake’. We guarantee your visit to Lake Manapouri and surrounds will be one to treasure for a long time to come.

Please note that we are no longer offering any kayak rentals.
